Sicko 9 of 13
Movie By Michael Moore Moore shows us how France, England, Canada and yikes! Cuba actually help sick people instead of letting them wither and die for lack of health insurance. Then he instructs us to loot those places for ideas. Anti-American? Hell, no. Moore argues that if another country builds a better car, we buy it. If it crafts a better wine, we drink it. Why not free universal health care? informationclearinghouse.info

I think what Moore wanted to demonstrate to the rich, was that with a system like the French they will continue being rich. And yes, the french is the best healthcare system in the world. Pity that in Spain we “chopped” our system in 17 autonomous communities, characterized by corruption, inefficiency and a mediocre quality in public services.

Reality is that average salary in France is 1500 €, and I don’t even earn that. I wish I will earn 7000€ later, but that’s definitely not going to happen if I stay in the middle class. . .

The middle-class people win 2. 000 or 3. 000 euros at month. . . 2X or 3X less.

Yes of course, but the couple living in the big flat in the center of Paris win 7000 euros (9. 000 $) at month.
That’s not the middle-class but upper class people, as DPClamavi said

there’s poor people if France too of course, but you live confortably as a middle classe.

What Moore said about France is not completly true. The couple living in this big flat, that’s not middle classe people, they are low upper class people. There is a lot of poverty in France but at least we have some good things like our medical system (even if I experienced the UK system and it seems even greatier).

I was Born in England and can confirm every detail that Moore reported here for his Documentary is accurate, we pay £7 for prescription but nothing if not working for a Child or Retired folk, that’s $12 even if medicine costs £200!. No charge when your wife has a Chikld either not a Cent, we all pay a percentage off our wages so isn’t “free” just comes out of huge National Insurance fund.

Here in Brazil we have free access to public universities too, and they’re great. . . Our public health care’s not too good, but at least we don’t have to pay a single penny.
