    In a perfect world with no kids and neighbors, I’d just crank a 100 Watt Marshall/Laney/whatever and strum hard. The EVH “no distortion pedals” natural distortion is the best, in my opinion, but not everybody can crank their rig to 11.

    Thanks for the tips, Marty.

  29. MRWHITE3535 says:

    The tube on the the left looks on its way out, you can’t beat a good tube amp, I used to have a crappy line 6 spider 3 what a terrible amp amp that was,

    @fuzzyroses13

    The SP-10 is a inexpensive practice amp. they usually sound better at low volumes. but if you want a inexpensive tube(hybrid) combo amp that will boost you desire to play more, I use and really like the Fender Super Champ DX and when you get more involved with purchasing and learning about equipment you can upgrade the speaker and the tubes like I have and you will have a great practice amp and something you can jam with your friends and actually be heard and cut through the mix.

    GHS Boomers 9′s better strings. imo
